Where your donation goes
It is extremely important to us that you are confident in our work. In order to ensure that your donation has the greatest impact on sponsored children, their families, and their communities, we have established stringent accounting and reporting procedures.
Whenever you sponsor a child, your contributions are pooled and transferred directly to the field agencies, ensuring that the funds are used responsibly and efficiently to provide each child with the benefits and services he or she needs.
Checks and balances
We have developed a thorough system of checks and balances to ensure contributions are used efficiently.
To ensure funds are aligned with approved budgets, each agency undergoes an independent audit.
A representative from OPAD headquarters visits field agencies frequently to inspect facilities and operations. In addition, they visit sponsored children and conduct interviews to ensure they are receiving the benefits and services promised to sponsors.
The organization for Poverty Alleviation & Development is 100% voluntarily funded organization
As an individual donor, every dollar you give counts, and 65 cents of every dollar you give goes directly to programs that support ending poverty and hunger worldwide.
We currently spend 2 cents processing your donation, 6 cents running OPAD and our programmes, and 28 cents raising the next dollar.
OPAD needs your support in the challenge of fighting poverty. Your donation will go toward the time, advice, and financing of our team as well as materials used in assisting individuals living on the edge of marginalized communities.
